(Marlborough, Massachusetts) Boris FX, the leading developer of integrated effects technology for video and film, announced that a new Unit of the Boris Continuum family of visual effects plug-ins, Glitters, is now available.
The new Boris Continuum Glitters Unit includes the following plug-ins:
Glint creates a sparkle or ray burst effect.
Glare creates an effect producing a sharp reflection.
Glitter creates a glittering or sparkling light effect.
The Open GL-accelerated Glitter Unit filters draw their real-time performance from the computer's graphics card. There are parameters in the filter UI to control the brightness, scale and color of the glitters and also the number of rays that each glitter has.
Boris Continuum Film Look supports Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Apple Motion. For Avid systems, the Film Look filters are included as part of Boris Continuum Complete AVX.
The Glitters Unit is the latest addition to previously released Boris Continuum Units: Chroma Key, Pan and Zoom, UpRez, Motion Key, Lens Flare and Film Look.
“Glitters and glints are extremely popular and easy to use”, comments Boris Yamnitsky, founder and president, Boris FX. “Now, thanks to BCC Open GL imaging architecture, the rendering of these effects is blazingly fast, in fact, real-time under most hosts and OS versions.
Boris Continuum Glitter is immediately available through the Boris FX worldwide reseller channel and direct from the Boris FX web site at www.borisfx.com for an MSRP of $99 USD.
