SAN FRANCISCO, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Atom Entertainment Inc.(TM), the broadband entertainment leader, announced that four new short films developed by AtomFilms Studio(TM) are premiering simultaneously today on the AtomFilms website (www.atomfilms.com) and on mobile phones. Ranging in length from one to five minutes apiece, the new shorts provide unique comic perspectives on dating, classic video games, canine friendships and even breast enhancements.

Since its founding in 1998, AtomFilms has paid its filmmakers and animators a share of revenue which to date has totaled millions of dollars. Announced in January, AtomFilms Studio builds on that tradition by funding new films by producers with a proven ability to connect with audiences on the AtomFilms site and beyond. Filmmakers involved in the productions launching today include Efram Potelle and Kyle Rankin, the team that won Project Greenlight season 2 and directed the theatrical feature "Battle of Shaker Heights," stop-motion filmmaking star PES, and film festival award-winners Sam Hearn, Richard Penfold, and Matthew Bonifacio.

"At a time when the Internet and mobile services are being flooded with commoditized content, AtomFilms continues its focus on original short-form entertainment," said Mika Salmi, chief executive officer of Atom Entertainment, Inc. "The AtomFilms Studio premieres showcase AtomFilms' unique ability to develop quality original entertainment in partnership with the industry's most innovative creators, and distribute it digitally to mass-market audiences."
