NEW YORK, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- "Wolf Creek" opened in the number one spot on Thursday in Australia, grossing $193,045 (AUS) and maintained that position today grossing $281,165 (AUS). The cumulative total is $356,562 (AUS $475,479). Village Roadshow Pictures distributed the film in Australia on behalf of The Weinstein Company and The Weinstein Company will release the film under it's Dimension Films label in the U.S. "Wolf Creek" is scheduled to open on Christmas Day in theaters in the US.

"Wolf Creek," the terrifying Australian horror film based on frightening true events screened to great acclaim at Sundance and Director's Fortnight in Cannes this year.

Writer/director Greg McLean's next project titled "Rogue," is in pre- production and will be released by The Weinstein Company's Dimension Films' label worldwide. The Weinstein Company has commenced international sales on "Rogue" at this week's American Film Market.
