March 7, 2006 [New York] – The 2006 Tribeca Film Festival today announced that it would be expanding its festival venues throughout Manhattan in partnership with AMC Loews Theatres. With more content than in prior years and a limited number of venues available downtown, the festival will expand to three AMC Loews theatres north of Tribeca. The festival screenings and events will remain anchored in Tribeca. The 2006 Festival will take place from April 25 – May 7.

“The partnership with AMC Loews will enable us to meet the overwhelming demand for tickets and accommodate future growth,” said Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Craig Hatkoff. “We will now be able to screen more films and increase the number of times we can screen them – doubling last year’s screening capacity. We also intend to utilize these additional venues throughout the city to draw attention to screenings and events, such as the Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair, that will continue to take place in Lower Manhattan. We hope that this increased awareness will attract new patrons downtown – which remains the festival’s heart and soul. We want to thank AMC Loews Theatres, our signature sponsor, for this opportunity to expand our reach and continue developing business downtown.”

“We are thrilled to be part of a festival that has such deep roots not only in the film community but in New York as well,” said Dick Walsh, executive vice president and chairman AMC film programming. “The excellent films that the Tribeca Film Festival brings to New York combined with the unparalleled moviegoing experience that AMC offers will create memorable, enjoyable screenings for our guests.”

2006 AMC Loews Theatres Include:
1 AMC Loews Lincoln Square 12 – Broadway at 68th Street
2 AMC Loews 34th Street 14 – West 34th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues
3 AMC Loews Village 7 – 3rd Avenue at East 11th Street

In addition to ticket outlets downtown, online and by phone, tickets will also be sold at dedicated Tribeca Film Festival windows at all AMC Loews host venues beginning April 8th for American Express Cardmembers and April 15th for all others. During the event, festival goers will be able to buy tickets for all screenings at each AMC Loews venue.

Festival Passes and Packages are now on sale online or by phone. This year, for the first time, Daytimer Passes will be sold. Visit tribecafilmfestival.org or call 866.941.FEST (3378) to purchase.
