LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Rawle Brown, from Brooklyn, New York has captured the $10,000 1st place prize in the 7th Annual Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition. His witty comedy script, "Limping Jokers," is about two irresponsible men, a would-be comedian and a wannabee gangster, shoot each other in fits of rage and, as a result, for the first time in their lives, cannot avoid the consequences of their actions; they end up having to hide out together.
2nd Place Winner "Son Of A Gun," by M.J. Anderson & Richard Rossner.
3rd Place Winner, "Blood Diamonds," by Margaret Dunlap.
Already 4 other scripts have been optioned by production companies.
Scriptapalooza makes winners packages and loglines available to established production companies and literary representatives.
Scriptapalooza Inc. was founded in 1998 with the intention of discovering talented writers and promoting them through the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition. Since then, the partners have branched into ScriptapaloozaTV, a television writing competition and Scriptapalooza Coverage, a professional analysis service for writers.
