LAS VEGAS, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CTIA Wireless 2006 -- Fandango, the nation's largest online, phone and mobile movie ticketing service (representing nearly 70% of all U.S. theaters enabled for remote ticketing), announced today that it is partnering with Ericsson, the world-leading provider of telecommunications services to mobile and fixed network operators, on a state-of-the art mobile movie information and ticketing service. Ericsson will also feature Fandango's mobile offerings on the Entertainment decks and in the data services, downloadable applications and WAP decks of several of its wireless carrier customers.

Starting today, Ericsson will host Fandango's best-of-breed mobile entertainment application, which was developed in association with wireless application developer Crisp Wireless and is also available at mobile.fandango.com. At launch, the service enables mobile moviegoers to obtain:

* movie tickets within seconds;
* comprehensive movie information including film reviews;
* show times, theater information and maps;
* mobile alerts when tickets for upcoming movies go on sale.

Moviegoers will be able to buy tickets to this summer's hottest movies when they text their ZIP codes to "FNDGO" (36346) and receive show times and ticket availability for nearby theaters. Future offerings may include movie-related wallpaper, ring tones and games and the possibility of bar-coded tickets on your mobile device. In addition, Fandango's new service will enable studios and other marketers to target mobile marketing campaigns and promotions to active moviegoers and allow them to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns through ticket purchases.
