LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Budding filmmakers are growing in numbers by leaps and bounds. The digital revolution is in full bloom and has resulted in the democratization of filmmaking. At this year's Sundance Festival, a record-breaking 3148 features and 4300 shorts were submitted. But filmmaking success is all about visual storytelling, not about new equipment or digital pixels. And this is precisely what the Action/Cut Filmmaking Seminar (www.actioncut.com) teaches filmmakers and screenwriters: how to visually tell stories so as to can entertain and enchant audiences, and open Hollywood industry doors.

Guy Magar, the award-winning producer/writer/director with over 70 production credits, is bringing his 2-day Action/Cut Filmmaking Seminar to Los Angeles on March 11 & 12 which offers a unique, one-of-a-kind, filmmaking event. The course provides a front-row seat inside the filmmaking craft with first-hand knowledge of the production process from A-Z utilizing film clips and visual examples to create a unique and passionate storytelling experience through a step-by-step, shot-by-shot, audio-visual analysis of professional productions. Topics include how to write visually, hiring an agent, selling scripts, raising funding for movies, finding distribution, working the festival circuit, and building a show reel.

Action/Cut offers what every filmmaker and screenwriter needs to know before making their own short or feature film as it provides the practical and immediate knowledge of getting a film story from the written page to the visual screen.

Guy Magar directed the suspense/thriller CHILDREN OF THE CORN: REVELATION based on Stephen King's original story for Miramax Films, and he is in preparation for his next film DAGGER IN THE HEARTLAND.
