GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, November 28, at 7pm at Alice Tully Hall, the Film Society of Lincoln Center presented AN EVENING WITH WOODY ALLEN. In a rare personal appearance, the director, writer, actor and musician examined his prolific and ever-renewing career through selected film clips and an onstage conversation with the Film Society's Wendy Keys, followed by the first U.S. public screening of his newest film, MATCH POINT.

Allen's work, his collaborations with actors and cinematographers, his influences -- from Ingmar Bergman to Bob Hope -- were among the topics covered in this informal talk. Wendy Keys, long associated with the Film Society, met Woody Allen when he selected the clips for Lincoln Center's tribute to Bob Hope in 1979. Allen's Bullets Over Broadway was the New York Film Festival's first Centerpiece in 1994. Celebrity opened the New York Film Festival in 1998.

The undisputed hit of the Cannes Film Festival, MATCH POINT is one of the most highly anticipated American films of the upcoming season. A drama about ambition, the seduction of wealth, love, and sexual passion, it stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Emily Mortimer, Matthew Goode, Brian Cox, and Penelope Wilton.

MATCH POINT was produced by Letty Aronson, Gareth Wiley and Lucy Darwin. Stephen Tenenbaum served as the executive producer, with Helen Robin and Nicky Kentish Barnes co-producing and Jack Rollins and Charles H. Joffe co-executive producing. The film will open on December 28, 2005 in limited release, and will be distributed domestically by DreamWorks.
