As I took a Brooklyn taxi back to the set for day two, I couldn't wait to see what David and his Set Design team came up with. Yesterday, they were successful in creating a "river." Essentially it was a six inch high temporary pool of water. If it was ice it would be a good size skating rink. The Set Design team gathered trees and finished the "Beach". When the actors arrived on set, they were treated to a romantic afternoon boat ride. Nevermind that this boat can't float. But with the installed 4 inch wheels, it rolls along just fine.
Lighting looked great. A fog machine was added to help finish the element of outdoors and nature.
Boxes of Kodak Super8 were flying off the shelf. About less than 3 minutes per roll at 24fps.
The second set-up included a Dolly and track.
David will have the Super8 film transfered to DV and then will edit on Final Cut Pro. http://www.lovesuicidesfilm.org
